Building a crypto market watchlist

A market watchlist helps reduce noise. Instead of monitoring every possible asset and exchange, analysts can focus on pairs with enough volume, stable market data, and reasonable fee assumptions.

A useful watchlist includes trading pairs, exchanges, average liquidity, fee notes, common risks, and preferred alert thresholds. It can also include notes about whether deposits and withdrawals are usually reliable for the asset.

The goal is not to chase every movement. The goal is to build a repeatable research process that highlights conditions worth studying and ignores conditions that are unlikely to be tradable.

Over time, a watchlist can become more useful by logging which signals were rejected and why. Rejected signals are valuable because they reveal patterns behind false positives.
